Presidents Day

Campus is closed on Feb 19 in observation of the national holiday. Presidents’ Day, also known as Washington’s Birthday, is a federal holiday in the United States that celebrates the birthdays of George Washington, the first President of the United States, and Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President. The holiday is observed on the third Monday of February each year.

While the holiday is still officially called Washington’s Birthday by the federal government, many states have adopted the term “Presidents’ Day.” It is often viewed as a day to honor all U.S. presidents, both past and present. Presidents’ Day is a federal holiday, which means that government offices and many schools are closed. Additionally, it is a popular time for retailers to offer sales and promotions.
